Marvel right now is going, full ahead with its Phase 4 details and projects. With hit shows coming in continuously one after the other, Marvel is on its top game at the moment. Marvel has something or the other stock up, after the release of each of their heavy-duty series, which by the way have been doing phenomenally well. With the completion of WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Loki, Marvel is full-on in an attention mode with its first-ever animation project “What If…?”, which again has already started to do well, right from the first day.
Besides all these, Marvel has a lot in store at the moment too. After these, as for the series we are still left with Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk and if everything goes well, fans will have a loaded 2022 too. One of the major projects to release in 2022 is the Disney+ Marvel series “Moon Knight”, which stars Oscar Isaac in the lead as Marc Spector aka the Moon Knight, a vigilante, superhero, millionaire, and also a cab driver. With him in the series is the absolutely dashing Ethan Hawke, who has aged like fine wine over the years. He will be the main antagonist of the show.
Now, even though Oscar Isaac‘s role is revealed, fans still don’t know which superhero role will be essayed by Ethan Hawke. In a recent interview with Seth Meyers, Ethan Hawke revealed quite a bit about his filming experiences, sharing the space with Isaac, working in Marvel’s ginormous sets, and a tad bit about his role too. But, even though he did a bit of revelation it wasn’t somehow much but in the way was enough to make fans wonder what it could be.
One of the prominent lines from the interview that stood out and has fans tied up in fansites is when he says “conjuring ancient gods and fighting for good and evil”. Now, Marvel fans know that Moon Knight’s powers come from the Egyptian Moon God “Khonshu”. Moon Knight has an array of enemies and his all-time favorite nemesis is definitely “Raoul”, but he isn’t godly enough for Ethan Hawke’s statement. The only Godly character that comes to people’s minds and one that could be powerful enough for The Moon Knight is the Sun God, which is known in Marvel comics, is The Sun King.
So, with the comment of conjuring up ancient Gods and fighting good and evil, we can imagine “Moon Knight” is going to be one epic series to look out for. Besides Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel will also be seen in an important role. Besides that, there are rumors that Emily Van Camp’s Sharon Carter will also return. Now, we have seen Carter and her role in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, so if she appears in Moon Knight, it will be interesting to see how her character will pan out.
But keeping all these aside, one thing for sure will be exciting to see is the “Godly Wars” between Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke. Add those Godly wars with Marvel’s fantastic VFX, camera work and one will have a fantastic, visual extravaganza in hand. So, keeping this in mind “Moon Knight” will be one hell of a ride for the actors as well as the viewers. As for the release, it is set for a Spring 2022 release for the moment, without any dates fixed.
