If being criminally underrated were an act, then Hulu and some of its shows are constantly committing it, and if you sit down and make a list of them, “Only Murders In The Building” will definitely be there.
Taking the show to a whole new level, Eugene Levy, the veteran comedian, joins the cast with some other stars as well. He joins the Season 4 cast of the show, joining Eva Longoria and Molly Shannon. Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez lead, with Meryl Streep returning from Season 3.
Unlike most crime shows, “Only Murders In The Building” manages to create a plethora of categories, especially bringing wit when necessary. Plus, the chemistry between Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez is one of the most promising aspects of the show.
As a master of wit and comedy, Eugene Levy’s career spans iconic roles on “SCTV,” winning four Emmys, and co-creating “Schitt’s Creek” with his son. Known for films like “Best in Show” and the “American Pie” franchise, he also hosts “The Reluctant Traveler” on Apple TV+. Levy’s versatility and comedic prowess have solidified his status as a legend in the entertainment industry, and he will be a great addition to the series.
Also, capitalizing on “Schitt’s Creek” won’t be a bad move either.
Talking about the plot of the show, the makers are keeping it under wraps, but we can expect something bombastic. The third season ended with the death of Sazz Pataki after she talked to Charles about something important but didn’t manage to convey the message.
The series is definitely looking more promising than ever, and if they manage to add a few big names, Hulu can definitely crack the mainstream market, especially with the access and luxury of the Disney platform.
