Talking about high school dramas, Euphoria took it to a whole new level by not only giving it an adult spin but also addressing several major societal issues. However, the main brilliance of Euphoria doesn’t lie in the storytelling; it lies in the cinematography and music. But there might be an update that could sadden the fans.
Fans have been curious about the release of the third season of Euphoria for a long time. The second season of Euphoria had its finale on February 27th, 2022, but since then, its status has been ambiguous.
Though the fans are optimistic about season three, there is a cast member who isn’t very optimistic about the possibility of a third season.
“Since January of 2022, we have had a start date of March that turned into June, that turned into January,” they said. “And then they kept pushing every month from then on. It was two full years of HBO telling all the actors we were going back soon, so we couldn’t take some jobs.”
Later, it was added that, “Before last week, I couldn’t take any TV jobs,” they said. “Since they have put it on hiatus, I can now take any job. But what sucks is that we all had more momentum right when the show came out, but now it’s been 2 years of waiting.”
Now, even though it has been announced that 2025 might be the period when it might land, all the major stars of the show have already had exposure to the big leagues. Working with them at the same time will definitely be impossible right now, so HBO will have to either pay a lot or break the hearts of the fans. Euphoria Season 3 looks a bit unclear right now.
