The Great Indian Kapil Show never really delivered. Yes, people were excited about it mainly because it had Sunil Grover coming back after 6-7 years. But, there has not been one episode when people actually poured their love. The reason?
We have seen everything that the script is showing in the show. The same old jokes, the same old concept and the same old format. As a result, people never really showed any excitement for it. And the views kept on dropping. A few days back we did a story on how Aamir Khan more than a guest looks like a saviour of the show. He is the biggest star that has been featured till now on the show and people must be very excited to see him.
It turns out, even Aamir Khan’s magic couldn’t save The Great Indian Kapil Show. At least the show used to pop up in the Top 10 most-watched Non-English show list, but the series has vanished from there.
Even Indians have discarded the show let alone the international audiences who would not have any fun with subtitles. Netflix India is having a hard time as Heeramandi’s reaction is mediocre and that of The Great Indian Kapil Show is bad. Let’s see what the future holds for the comedy show.
