The format of releasing Tamil and Telugu films on OTT just 4 weeks after their theatrical release has proved to be a great asset for mid-budget movies. It doesn’t let the hype around the movie die, as in the case of Fahadh Faasil’s newly released “Aavesham.”
It is a fun action-adventure directed by Jithu Madhavan that has garnered enough footfalls in theaters, collecting around 150 crores at the box office, all with a mere budget of 30 crores. And just after four weeks, the movie is back on Amazon Prime Video for people to experience it in the comfort of their homes.
The movie was a great experience for the audience in theaters. It deals with three youngsters who move to Bangalore after engineering, but fate gets them involved with the gangsters of the city. Fahadh Faasil here in the movie plays Ranga, a charming, quirky local gangster – the heart of the film. Fahad Fasil’s manner in which he catches the tone of the characters is nothing short of mesmerizing.
The music, screenplay, dialogues, everything works perfectly for this darkly humorous tale of three friends. You can definitely watch this movie if you missed it in theaters. “Aavesham,” starring Fahadh Faasil, Hipzster, Sakin Gopu, and Mithun Jai Shankar, premiered today on Amazon Prime Video.
