The highly awaited Fallout TV series, based on the smash hit game series is finally taking form. Set in a retro futuristic landscape in the aftermath of a nuclear war between US and China, the live adaptation seems to commit to an enthralling tale in the radioactive wasteland, which avid gamers and followers of the franchise all know and love so dearly.
Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, known for the work on the famous show Westworld, are at the helm of this series as developers and executive producers. The cast comprises Ella Purnell playing Lucy, a hopeful Vault Dweller, and Walton Goggins characterises a radioactive bounty hunter with a vague past, by the name of Ghoul. Kyle MacLachlan plays the role of Overseer Hank while Aaron Moten portrays a young recruit in the Brotherhood of Steel.
While maintaining continuity with the game series, it will not adapt its story directly from the games. The lore unfolds in Los Angeles, which is a vital aspect of the Fallout tale. Evidently, this marks the first expedition of the radiation contaminated metropolis in the series, and also gives fans a look into the Vault-Tec HQ and a uniquely new perspective on the FallOut universe as a whole.
What is especially noteworthy is the widespread release in India, with the series slated to have dubs in 5 regional languages, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada. This will guarantee a stronger fanbase in India and expose the diaspora to the majestic series in great depth. Catch the series on Amazon Prime, releasing on April 12th, 2024.
