FanCode has been a trusted destination for sports streaming in India and, in some aspects, has shined. However, when FanCode fumbles, it fumbles massively. Previously, their handling of Copa America left fans frustrated, and now, FanCode is making racing fans impatient.
What’s the deal with FanCode?
FanCode outpaced other platforms to secure the F1 streaming rights, despite F1 already having its own platform, F1 TV. However, FanCode has managed to crash and burn. In the F1 pass offered by FanCode, fans were given the opportunity to stream F1, F2, and F3 races for ₹749.
On paper, this looks like a brilliant deal, but the reality is far from it. Fans regularly face several issues.
Firstly, there are complaints about the UI/UX of the race streaming, which should help viewers have a seamless experience. During the Hotstar days and on F1’s own streaming services, there were no such complaints, but FanCode misses the mark.
Secondly, fans are dissatisfied with the number of advertisements they have to endure. While sports streaming typically includes ads, the volume needs to be reduced for a better experience.
@FanCode just bought the f1 package but its of no use, ads are like going crazy on the app and no radio or dash cam view. Pathetic service. Please refund

Thirdly, the quality of streaming is a significant problem, with frequent freezing. For a fast-paced sport like racing, this is a major turnoff. It’s not just freezing screens but also occasional blackouts. Even the camera angles have been frustrating, as FanCode is taking the streaming experience back to five years ago.
@FanCode if you can't do proper streaming please stop it. See the attached video how many times screen turns to black and video is freezing. #f1 #fancode pic.twitter.com/8DNnebDHqS

Additionally, when fans bought the pass, they were promised access to F2 and F3 races. However, this promise appears to be just on paper. Fans are unable to stream F3 races, breaking their trust. This is essentially scamming the fans with unfulfilled promises.
Hey, @FanCode

@FanCode your support team is just pathetic, for the past two days I am struggling to watch an F3 event and have submitted the support ticket already and got one response saying I need to login using my mobile number to watch the event, are you serious @FanCode.

Earlier with Copa America, the platform blamed last-minute changes that jeopardized the deal. Now, we are sure there would be a similar excuse. But why should users get frustrated by this series of misfortunes? Maybe FanCode should apologize for shattering people’s expectations, as it is slowly becoming a recurring issue.
