As per Netflix, offering unprecedented access, the new season of ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’ will once again take fans behind the scenes, to witness first-hand how the drivers and teams prepare to battle it out for the 2022 and 2023 championships. The series will offer never-before-seen footage and interviews from the sport’s biggest names.
Season 5 is currently being shot and will make its way exclusively to Netflix sometime in 2023. ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’ is executive-produced by Academy-Award winner James Gay-Rees (Amy, Senna) and Paul Martin (Diego Maradona) for Box to Box Films.

Despite the series being quite popular, fans certainly have concerns they raised after this announcement. The major concern being the over dramatisation of the content that has been on rise for the past few seasons. This is what some of the fans of Netflix’s ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’ had to say about the same
Love the fact that DTS has brought new fans to the sport but hate that some fans, both old and new, can’t just enjoy it for what it is – a dramatisation of reality and NOT reality. Until people learn the difference it will continue to spawn toxicity amongst the fanbase.

I wish the series really show how f1 is.
Stop all the fake drama.
Stop making “bad” and “good”.— Patrak (@NathPatrak) May 5, 2022
