This dissatisfaction is not new, as JioCinema has been messing up when it comes to streaming sports content. No one expected that JioCinema would improve anytime soon. However, talking about the grandest sporting event, fans expected something reasonable from JioCinema.
The fans aren’t happy about several factors that are affecting the watching experience.
JioCinema didn’t do everything badly, as they made some clever choices. One benefit that any OTT platform can offer is the ability to stream everything at once, and JioCinema has been doing this. Though it wasn’t available in the beginning, JioCinema later added this feature, which is a big improvement.
But fans aren’t all ga-ga over this.
Though the streaming quality has improved, the experience has not been the best. Firstly, fans find the event thumbnails misleading, as many are not in the correct order or do not accurately represent the correct games at times.
Previously, JioCinema was also streaming limited sports in which India was participating. They later expanded this, but fans are expecting further improvements.
Even when users switch from one sport to another, they are seeing ads, which disrupts seamless streaming. While sports without ads is something you can’t expect, JioCinema could have toned down the number of ads during the transitions between sports.
