Amazon Prime Video has released a video featuring Manoj Bajpayee promoting ‘Farzi’ by Raj and DK. Now that we all know that ‘Farzi’ and ‘The Family Man’ happen in the same web-universe, the possibility of a cross over between the two shows is exciting fans.
There were many hints that there can be a cross over soon enough. Vijay Sethupathi’s Michael made a call to Shrikant Tiwary in the show and they talked in a way that they know each other for years. He asked for a favour from Shrikant. The famous spy and informer Chellam Sir from The Family Man played a cameo in Farzi. It is not only Chellam Sir, some other characters from the espionage thriller have also returned in Farzi. Inspector Shinde who helps Rashi Khanna’s character in her raids was there in it too.
It will be curious how Raj and D.K will create link between these two utterly different genres and make a common story. The backstory of Shrikant and Michael’s friendship can be simply traced back to college or training days. But what contribution can intelligence officers who are constantly busy with international terrorists do to a currency fraud.
Vijay Sethupathi may have a cameo in The Family Man S3. It may show some flashback on the history of their friendship. They could not have met during the case of Tamil separatists in season 2, or it would have become an inevitable part of the story. The next case will be based in West Bengal and the north-eastern states and Michael can appear to help Shrikant in it. Chellam Sir is a good linker to both the shows and his relation to Shrikant and Michael will be a very important point in the development of the universe.
