Farhan Akhtar has finally announced the third movie of the Don franchise, and it will be the beginning of a new era. Ranveer Singh will be getting into the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan. Fans are now divided regarding this announcement.
Ranveer Singh has recently tasted great success with Karan Johar’s directorial feature ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ and he has earned huge applause for his role. But it looks like people do not want him in the iconic role of ‘Don’. The promo has been released today, and fans complain that Ranveer does not look convincing at all as ‘Don’.
Some are saying that Ranveer’s voice did not have the menace that Shah Rukh Had. It was rather plain and did not have that chilling effect. Meanwhile Some are saying that even Ranveer’s bearded look does not go with the character. There were too many dialogues in the small video and there was not enough space for viewers to involve themselves with the new Don. Fans simply did not like it.
The legacy of Don is certainly something that fans take very seriously. They have been urging Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar for a third movie of the series for a long time but accepting someone else in the place of SRK will be difficult.
Ranveer Singh is definitely a talented actor and he has given tremendous performances in movies like ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmavat’ but stepping into the shows of someone like SRK can be difficult. It is just a promo and the teasers and trailers are yet to release, and hopefully they will offer something to the fans to root for Don 3.
