MBC Original K-Drama ‘Tomorrow‘ revolving around grim-reapers aired it’s finale recently and fans of the show have been missing it since then. This super-natural fantasy has gathered a fan-base of it’s own and here are few other recommendations we offer, if you can’t seem to get enough of it.
1) Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016)
One of the most popular Korean dramas there ever is, this Gong Yoo starrer is about Kim Shin, an immortal goblin who goes to find a human bride to remove an invisible sword from his chest to end his curse. A supernatural fantasy, a tragic romance all rolled in one. Streaming on Netflix.
2) Tale of The Nine Tailed (2020)
This Lee Dong Wook starrer (our favourite Grim Reaper from Goblin) revolves around a nine-tailed fox aka Gumiho who takes on a mission to search for the reincarnation of his one true love. You get two love-stories in one and throw in some epic fantasy stunts. Streaming on Netflix.
3) My Love from the Star (2013)
South Korea’s darlings Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun star in this fantasy romantic comedy centred around the love-story of an alien and a human. Jun Ji Hyun’s fantastic comic timing coupled with her chemistry with Kim Soo Hyun, it’s all fireworks in this show. A must must must watch. Streaming on Netflix.
4) Hotel Del Luna (2019)
Another engaging fantasy rom-com that revolves around a supernatural restaurant – Hotel del Luna that caters to ghosts. K-Pop star IU (My Mister, Broker) who is making waves after the premiere of her film ‘Broker’ with Hirokazu Koreeda shines through and through in the show. Streaming on Netflix.
5) Legend of the Blue Sea (2016)
This fantasy rom-com is from the creators of Guardian – Lonely and Great God. That itself is a reason for you to check it out. Besides there’s Jun Ji Hyun in her top hilarious best and her chemistry with Lee Min ho is off the charts. Check it out and you’ll end up laughing and crying like us. Streaming on Netflix.
