After so many rumours of ‘Don 3’ being shelved, Farhan Akhtar says that he thinks Ranveer Singh is the right guy for the movie. There had been much controversy when an announcement teaser starring Ranveer Singh as Don came up.
There had been huge anticipation for the third installment of ‘Don’ and fans thought it was ridiculous for Ranveer Singh to think that he could step into the shoes of Shahrukh Khan. After the trolls, there were rumours that the project has finally been shelved.
But it seems Farhan Akhtar is quite confident with the casting. He is a filmmaker who has treated the wonderful Don legacy of Amitabh Bachchan in the performances way and delivered many films up to the expectation of audiences and we might not be wrong to have trust on him.
Farhan Akhtar says, “Kind of go a little bit more into like a ‘what made Don, Don’s kind of story’, and that’s when I started writing that. Then, that took on a life of its own, and that needed for there to be a younger actor. Ranveer just felt like absolutely the right guy to go to for it.”
It will be great news for fans if Don 3 finally happens and Ranveer Singh proves himself as a star again by doing justice to the iconic character.
