The director-turned-actor Farhan Akhtar announced his next directional venture, Jee Le Zaraa, last year. As soon as the project got announced, social media faced a severe meltdown, mainly because of three A-list actresses: Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif, headlining the film. Apart from helming duties, Farhan will pen down the film’s screenplay with Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti. Excel Entertainment will bankroll this one.
The film’s future was looking in the dark as Akhtar gave no updates to the fans after its official announcement. But, you do not have to worry about that now! Alia Bhatt threw all the rumours into the trashcan in her recent media interview:
“IT’S HAPPENING!!… We will go on floors next year. Of course, we can not go on the floor this year (Indicating her pregnancy). We ain’t letting that film go. We are fighting for it and we are all too excited about it. It’s going to be quite massive and we can’t wait’.
One of the leading ladies, Alia, is busy with the promotions of Netflix’s Darlings these days. We will see her sharing the screen with Shefali Shah and Vijay Varma. Additionally, she will star opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, slated to release on September 9.
