Popular film and entertainment analysis website IMDb has launched a new feature on its app, especially for Indian audiences. The new feature is titled ‘Popular Indian Celebrities’, and it will tell us which Indian celebrities from the world of entertainment are currently the most popular, across the world.
The ‘Popular Indian Celebrities’ feature will reveal the rankings of Indian film and OTT cast & crew who are currently trending across the globe. Rankings will be updated weekly, every Monday. It is an app-exclusive feature, which means it can be viewed only on the IMDb app.
The new feature reflects which celebrities and characters across movies and OTT platforms are trending and have caught the audience’s imagination. The rankings are decided based on the visits and page views of 200 million monthly users to IMDb worldwide.
The rankings on the first ever list of ‘Popular Indian Celebrities’ throws up quite the surprise. For the actor to come out on the very top of the list is none other than Prime Video series Farzi’s lead actress, Raashi Khanna. The pretty actress has pipped even superstar Shah Rukh Khan to the top post – this despite the fact that Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ is earning truckloads of money at the box office.
Other celebrities making a splash on the ‘Popular Indian Celebrities’ list are Vijay Sethupathi, Reginaa Cassandraa, Kiara Advani, Aditya Chopra, among others.
