Netflix has just dropped the trailer of its brand new anthology, Feels Like Ishq. The show had been announced back in March, along with 40 other titles in Netflix’s huge Indian slate for 2021. Now we have a trailer to tell us more clearly what the show is all about.
Feels Like Ishq is an anthology of six short stories, each related in an episode of its own. That makes it six episodes for Feels Like Ishq. All the stories are centred around one common theme – fluke meetings between two strangers; the first, butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling of love at first sight, and the deepening of those feelings into something special.
Six different directors have helmed individual stories. They are Ruchir Arun, Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, Anand Tiwari, Danish Aslam, Jaydeep Sarkar and Sachin Kundalkar. The show has an interesting ensemble cast, including Radhika Madan, Amol Parashar, Neeraj Madhav, Tanya Maniktala, Kajol Chug, Mihir Ahuja, Simran Jehani, Rohit Saraf, Saba Azad, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Zayn Khan and Skand Thakur.
Tanya Maniktala, Radhika Madan, Neeraj Madhav and Rohit Saraf grab our attention amongst the bevy of performers. It’s a delight to watch Neeraj Madhav on screen after his appearance in The Family Man. His Jayasurya-Kunchacko Boban dialogue is hilarious. Tanya Maniktala’s boisterous character, Rohit Saraf’s chocolate-boy charm and Radhika Madan’s wacky avatar seem like fun. There’s a mandatory same-sex love story too, thrown into the mix.
Devrath Sagar is the creative director of Feels Like Ishq, while Mutant Films and Awesomeness have produced it for Netflix.
Feels Like Ishq premieres on Netflix on July 23. Check out the first trailer of the show –
