Filmfare OTT Awards 2023 is now out. In the glitzy world of entertainment, recognition often becomes a significant measure of success, and award shows serve as the ultimate stage for such acknowledgement. The recently concluded Filmfare OTT Awards 2023 were no exception, celebrating the brilliance of OTT originals. While Netflix emerged victorious with an impressive 22 awards, some equally deserving gems were left unaccounted for.
One standout series that failed to clinch an award was SonyLIV’s “Rocket Boys.” This compelling narrative, exploring the triumphs and tribulations of India’s space pioneers, deserved acclaim for its stellar storytelling and nuanced performances. Despite its undeniable impact, the series found itself on the sidelines.
Similarly, Jubilee, a noteworthy creation, failed to secure any acting awards. Despite brilliant technicalities and narrative, it did not win any acting awards. The lack of accolades doesn’t diminish its quality or the commendable efforts put forth by the cast and crew.
Hotstar’s “Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo” also faced the disappointment of going home empty-handed. The series, despite not clinching an award, carries its unique charm, offering a fresh perspective in the cluttered world of content. It had some brilliant performances and an incredible storyline.
Even the musical masterpiece “Qala,” with its impeccable fusion of music and cinematography, was overlooked in the awards race. The soul-stirring melodies and visual brilliance showcased in the series deserved recognition, making its absence from the winner’s list a surprising omission.
Filmfare OTT Awards 2023 was too much Netflix and some indeed great shows were left unaccounted for.
