Finally the much awaited season 2 of Amazon Prime Video’s ‘The Family Man’ has got a release date. Manoj Bajpayee starrer crime thriller investigative series is all set to release on February 12, 2021.
The announcement came through social media handles of Amazon Prime Video, which said, “Don’t know about the timer here, but we’re exploding with excitement💥”. The image attached shows a time bomb in making with digits ‘1202’ displayed on it, which clearly indicates ‘The Family Man’ season 2’s release date.
Other than the release date, the image has black and white photographs of Manoj Bajpayee and Sharib Hashmi. One more important information that the date announcement poster provides is that Amazon Prime Video will release the second season of ‘The Family Man’ in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
Learning from the mistake the streaming giant did with Mirzapur season 2, the decision to have ‘The Family Man’ available in the three most demanded languages is a wise step. This might also be one of the reasons for the delay of the show which was earlier supposed to come out on Amazon Prime Video in December 2020. The dubbing process took its time alongside what we earlier mentioned about the VFX work that ‘The Family Man’ Season 2 is supposedly loaded with this time.
Packed with all the action, drama, thrill, suspense and topped with its unique style of humour, ‘The Family Man‘ Season 2 will pick from where it left off in the previous season with Shrikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee), a witty spy in the guise of a middle-class man struggling with his own family issues, chasing hard core terrorists.
Amazon Prime Video’s ‘The Family Man’ season 2 has been created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The show boasts an incredibly talented ensemble cast consisting of Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Sharab Hashmi, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Neeraj Madhvani, Sharad Kelkar among others.
But that’s not it, this time Amazon’s ‘The Family Man’ has the popular south actress Samantha Akkineni in a prominent role and we are already eager to know what she adds to the series. Earlier we had seen creators Raj and DK praising Samantha for her action sequences in the show.
