Streaming giant Prime Video had premiered intriguing murder mystery series ‘Three Pines’ in December last year. Unfortunately, the series had not streamed on Prime Video India then, leaving Indian viewers high and dry. Now, four months later, ‘Three Pines’ is finally streaming on Indian OTT. However, it’s not streaming on Prime Video in India but on SonyLIV! Go figure!
Now that all eight episodes of ‘Three Pines‘ are streaming in India on SonyLIV, Indian viewers can watch the series as per their convenience. ‘Three Pines’ stars Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2) as Chief Inspector Armand Gamache. The detective is tasked with investigating a series of murders in Three Pines, a sleepy little town in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. As he goes deeper into the investigation, he discovers long-buried secrets while facing ghosts of his own.
The eight episodes of the series cover four murder mysteries, two episodes devoted to each. ‘Three Pines’ is based on the novel series by Louise Penny, titled ‘Fatal Grace’. The Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, the central character in the series, is gifted with unique skills. He has a knack for seeing things that others do not, and can sniff out the mythic in the mundane, and the evil in the seemingly ordinary.
Besides Alfred Molina, ‘Three Pines’ stars Rossif Sutherland, Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, Tantoo Cardinal, Clare Coulter, Sarah Booth, and Anna Tierney, among others, in pivotal roles. The series is created by
Emilia di Girolamo.
