Emerging director, S. Shivakar, is ready to come back with a bang with his upcoming series, Fingertip Season 2, on the ZEE5 streaming platform. The latest trailer proves that the second season will be bigger than the first one in terms of scope, storylines, and performances. Fans, who have watched the trailer, know that Season 1 only touched the tip of an iceberg. Season 2 is where everything will turn to chaos.
The first season of Fingertip bestowed five suspenseful and gripping episodes to the fans. It showed Rekha (Sunaina) going to all extremes to regain her online fame on Clicker, Krishnamoorthy (Madhusudan Rao) finding himself in unexpected scenarios after a threat from the digital world uproots his normal life, Priya (Akshara Haasan) doubting her friendship with Vidhya (Sanjana Sarthy) after the arrival of Varun (Siddhartha Shankar) in her life, and many more stories. But, we can all admit that all these scenarios have become common these days. They seemed not that threatening or intriguing.
That’s why we cannot ignore the importance of Fingertip Season 2. No doubt that the forthcoming season will decide the show’s fate. However, the dark and hard-hitting tone of Season 2 may favour the makers. Also, it will bestow some truly violent scenes that may disturb some viewers. But that’s the thing. There is no end to the harmful effects or consequences of social media. Some rise as predators in this world. On the flip side, some become victims here.
Another thing that guarantees Season 2’s success is its star cast. Performers like Regina Cassandra, Prasanna, and Aparana Balamurali are in the front seats in this cyber crime thriller. It is Regina’s second OTT outing after playing Mrinalini Sarabhai in SonyLIV’s Rocket Boys. Her character is a prominent celebrity whose social media obsession will start affecting her life in unexpected ways. Plus, we will see Prasanna playing a cop who tries to help Aparna’s character after the latter finds herself in a situation related to cybercrime. In addition to this acting trio, the cast includes Sharath Ravi, Kanna Ravi, and Vinoth Kishan.
