The first looks for Amazon’s ‘Citadel’ are Released now and it stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as spies working for the intelligence agency named ‘Citadel’. The show is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and is one of the most ambitious projects of Amazon Prime Video.
The director duo had plans of a global web series which will have a main central show and many local offshoots and spin-offs.
As far as we know about the show, Citadel is an organization that does not answer to any particular country. The protagonists played by Priyanka and Madden try to build the organization up once more after it failed and despite their memories being wiped off they go on various missions with the goal to collect the broken pieces together.
The first two episodes of Citadel will be premiering on the 28th of April and many other actors like Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville will be seen alongside Priyanka and Madden. Madden plays Mason Kane and Priyanka Chopra plays Nadia Sinh, two spies with a shared history and unbelievable courage.
The first six episodes of the first season of Citadel is the ‘jumping-off’ point for the show. It is called the ‘Mothership’ by the people involved with the making. After that, we will get to see extensions of the show. The Italian Citadel is being starred by actor Matilda De Angelis and the Indian one has Samantha and Varun Dhawan in it. Priyanka’s character will be an important one in Varun and Samantha’s Citadel and the huge fanbase in India will contribute to the large viewership of the film.
