Prime Video India has just revealed the first look at the new season of its popular show ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’. Season 2 of the young adult show will premiere on Prime Video across the globe on July 14, 2023. The first three episodes of the series will premiere on debut, with subsequent episodes to release in the one-episode per week format. The season finale of the series is scheduled to drop on August 18 on Prime Video.
For those who don’t know, ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ is a popular Prime Video original series, adapted from the bestselling book trilogy by Jenny Han. Han is also the author of the ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ book series. Season 2 of the series will recount the events of the second book in the series, titled ‘It’s Not Summer Without You’.
‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 2 will see Lola Tung reprise her role as 16-year-old Belly from the first season. Briney and Calego Fisher return to play Conrad and Jeremiah in Season 2. The new season of the series will have Belly caught in a love triangle of sorts, with both brothers vying for her affection.
Sean Kaufman (Belly’s older brother Steven), Jackie Chung (Belly’s mother Laurel), Rachel Blanchard (Conrad and Jeremiah’s mother Susannah), Rain Spencer (Taylor), David Iacomo (Cam), Alfredo Narciso (Cleveland Castillo), Tom Everett Scott (Adam Fisher) and Colin Ferguson (John Conklin) return in ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 2.
Two new cast members join ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty‘ in its second season, in the form of Kyra Sedgwick and Elsie Fisher.
The official synopsis of ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 2 reads, “Belly used to count down the days until she could return to Cousins Beach, but with Conrad and Jeremiah fighting over her heart and the return of Susannah’s cancer, she’s not sure summer will ever be the same. When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of Susannah’s beloved house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together—and to decide once and for all where her heart lies.”
