Sony has dropped the final trailer of its upcoming rom-com, “Fly Me To The Moon”, starring Scarlett Johansson as Kelly Jones, a popular and gifted marketing specialist. NASA appoints her to stage a “backup” fake Apollo 11’s Moon landing program to restore the public’s trust in the prominent space agency. Alongside Johansson, we see Channing Tatum, playing Cole Davis, the NASA director in charge of the Apollo 11 launch. The movie’s events take place during the 1960s when the “Space Race” was at its prime between the Soviet Union and the United States.
Alongside Johansson and Tatum, the forthcoming Greg Berlanti directional has talents such as Nick Dillenburg, Anna Garcia, Colin Woodell, Noah Robbins, Jim Rash, Ray Romano, Woody Harrelson, and more.
The Scarlett Johansson starrer was originally scheduled for a December 2023 release. However, Sony delayed its theatrical debut to July 12, 2024. Through, the production house already released the film in Hong Kong on April 11. So far, the movie has collected over $566,000. It has a mammoth budget of $100 million.
“Fly Me to the Moon” blasts off in theaters worldwide on July 12th before landing on the Apple TV+ streaming service at a later date. Columbia Pictures, a division of Sony Pictures Releasing, will handle the film’s distribution. Stay tuned for more updates! Check out the final trailer below!
