Joaquin Pheonix rocked the international box office with his take on the becoming of one of the most infamous psychopaths in pop culture history: The Joker. Now that he’s officially back, he’s not alone. Unlike the last time.
The haunting background music of the “Joker: Folie à Deux” trailer accompanies the melancholic meeting of Arthur Fleck aka the Joker and his soon-to-be accomplice Harley Quinn within the walls of a prison cell. Post his prison-break, when the two become close, what ensues is a moodboard of drama, crime, and anarchy.
Set to be unleashed upon theatres on October 4, the musical film will screen in theatres and IMAX. With Quinn matching and heightening the Joker’s eccentricities, the two are ready to dive into a world of violent delusion and take us with them!
While the title literally translates from French to “delusion or mental illness shared by two people in close association”, the dark undertones of the teaser promise revenge and much more.
Strengthened by the love of his life, who also looks up to him, Fleck is finally in possession of everything he yearned for throughout the first instalment of his story “Joker” in 2019. But now, he is brimming with volatile confidence. To witness the destructive glory of how it bubbles into reality, do not forget to keep tabs on this space for upcoming updates!
