Author-comedian Sarah Cooper has a new show, featuring sketches and interviews that are aiming to bring the topics of racism, political issues, gender and class discrimination among many others to light and to create a conversation to tackling them. This new series will be executive produced by Natasha Lyonne, Maya Rudolph and Danielle Renfrew Behrens (for Animal Pictures).
If any of you don’t know or remember who Sarah Cooper is – she came to prominence during the pandemic, when her lip-synching videos of Donald Trump blew up on the internet. She instantly became loved after her multiple caricatures about the American President talking about various characteristics of Coronavirus went viral. Since then, she has gone on to guest host ‘Jimmy Kimmel’ and also did a development deal with the network CBS for a single-camera comedy inspired by her 2018 book “How to be Successful Without Hurting Men’s Feelings.”
Her current show is set to have a wide array of guest stars who will come on various sketches and/or interviews including Aubrey Plaza, Ben Stiller, Connie Chung, Danielle Brooks, Eddie Pepitone, Jane Lynch, Jonathan Van Ness, Jordan Black, Marcella Arguello, Maya Rudolph, Tommy Davidson, Whoopi Goldberg, Winona Ryder, Jon Hamm, Fred Armisen and Marisa Tomei. Helen Mirren and Megan Thee Stallion are also going to be making an appearance on the show, in one of the sketches.
Sarah Cooper’s latest show ‘Everything’s Fine’ is premiering on Netflix on October 27th 2020.
