The Netflix top ten list consisting of the most popular English language TV shows of all time has just got a new entrant. The British thriller series ‘Fool Me Once’ has made an impressive debut on the coveted list after consistently featuring in weekly top ten charts on Netflix. The show, which premiered on Netflix on 1st January, has surpassed ‘The Witcher Season-1’ to claim the ninth rank on the list. It boasts of 84.9 million total views and 5.45 billion hours viewed on Netflix as on 4th February.
‘Fool Me Once’ is an eight-part series based on Harlan Coben’s book of the same name. The show’s plot follows a widowed former soldier, whose life takes a deadly turn after she watches the footage of her husband’s murder on a security camera.
Moreover, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Indian blockbuster ‘Animal’ starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role has continued to impress after a grand entry on Netflix top 10 chart last week. ‘Animal’ has moved further up from Rank 4 to Rank 3 on the Netflix top 10 non-English films list for the 29th Jan – 4th Feb week.
As per the latest Netflix top ten international list, ‘Animal’ has registered a massive 5.5 million views this week. The only two non-English films which are ahead of ‘Animal’ are the Oscar contender ‘Society of the Snow’ and the South Korean dystopian actioner ‘Badland Hunters’.
Helmed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy, the underlying plot of the gangster action drama ‘Animal’ revolves around a complicated father-son relationship (played by Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor) and how the son transforms into a violent psychopath. It also features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and Bobby Deol as the antagonist. The film has grossed over a whopping Rs.900 crores globally and is the third highest grossing Indian movie of 2023 (after Jawan and Pathaan).
