The AppleTV+ Show ‘For All Mankind’ has been renewed for a fifth season now. The show is a science fiction drama and is created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi.
The four seasons of ‘For All Mankind’ has a total of forty episodes and each of them are 40 to 80 minutes long. The show stars actors like Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Sonya Walger, Krys Marshall, Cynthy Wu and many others.
The show deals with an alternate reality where the first man on moon is Alexei Leonov, who was from the Soviet States. The Soviets continue their moon-programme further and further forward while the Americans try to find their place still in the space program. The point of diversion in this reality was the avoidance of death by Sergei Korolev, the revolutionary space scientist who actually died while operating in a space program in Russia. The four seasons tell the stories of four different decades starting from the 1950s.
The fifth season is very anticipated by fans and it comes as a surprise for them that the makers also announced a spin-off to the show. The spin-off is titled ‘Star City’ and it is said to be “a propulsive paranoid thriller”. The show will be the story of the cosmonauts and how they operate in space with the mission of forwarding human beings to the future.
