The makers have dropped the first look of ‘Forensic‘, a suspense crime thriller headlined by Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte. The film is a remake of the 2020 Malayalam film by the same name, starring Tovino Thomas, Mamta Mohandas and Reba Monica John. Directed by Vishal Furia and jointly produced by Mini Films and Sohum Entertainment, it is expected to go on floors towards the last quarter of the year.
Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte are the biggest OTT sensations in recent times. Both actors released the motion poster of the film via their Instagram accounts with added notes. While Vikrant’s read- “Ab naa bachega koi bhi unsolved case, #Forensic karega reveal har criminal ka face”, Radhika’s post said- “Police ki fight aur #Forensic ki UV light, kare har criminal ki hawa tight”.
This is Vikrant Massey’s second collaboration with director Vishal, after the incredibly successful web show Criminal Justice. Talking about the upcoming film, Vikrant said, “I have always believed in the story being the front-runner for a film and when director Vishal Furia narrated the script to me, I was intrigued as an actor and as a member of the audience.” Radhika Apte too shared her thoughts on the project and said, “There is a particular way to navigate thriller movies and with Forensic, it hits all the right notes. I am looking forward to starting this project and working with a talented costar like Vikrant and our director Vishal who has such a clear and interesting vision for this film.”
In fact, on 17th July, producer Mansi Bagla celebrated the birthday of Director Furia posting pictures of a ‘Forensic’ themed cake. Of course, little did anyone know that it was the title of their upcoming movie! Talking about the film Furia added, “Forensic explores the advanced science of crime scene investigation that expedites the process of finding the criminal. Having said so, I want to tell this science in an entertaining and thrilling way. Vikrant and Radhika are believable actors and together we would want to convey to the audiences that this science is available for everyone to help them if they are the victims of a crime. The producers, Mansi and Varun Bagla and Deepak Mukut don’t want to leave any stone unturned in the process of telling this exciting story and helping the story to reach one and all.”
Well, we are certainly intrigued by the poster and excited about this collaboration between two fine actors who have proved their mettle time and again. The film’s shooting commences soon and we can’t wait for the trailer to drop!
