Friday is just around the corner and once again the OTT is going to be buzzing with new Indian titles. Actually this time it’s more of a two day event, i.e. Thursday and Friday, since a lot of them are already streaming from today.
Let’s begin with Netflix, talking about the Thursday releases, we have two highly awaited titles. One is original series ‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’ by Neeraj Pandey and the other is the licensed Malayalam film ‘Officer On Duty’ which got rave reviews on its theatrical release.
For Friday, Netflix is offering another blockbuster licensed film ‘Dragon’ starring Pradeep Ranganathan coming to the streaming giant post a fabulous theatrical run in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
As for Prime Video, Tamil film ‘Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobum’ by Dhanush and Akshay Kumar’s patriotic Hindi drama ‘Sky Force’, are set to stream this Friday. Well there isn’t much anticipation for either of these titles after their average box office performances.
‘Kanneda’, a new Hotstar Specials series will start streaming on Jio Hotstar from Friday, March 21. Set in the 90s, and starring an eclectic ensemble cast including Parmish Verma, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub, Arunoday Singh, Ranvir Shorey, Aadar Malik and Jasmin Bajwa, the show hasn’t been able to create much buzz despite an interesting premise.
Another interesting release is ‘Loot Kaand’ on Amazon MX Player streaming from today. The series stars Tanya Maniktala, Gyanendra Tripathi and Sahil Mehta in lead roles and is about two siblings who plan a unique bank heist that goes terribly wrong.
