Friday is here and it’s time for new releases on OTTs. But it won’t be like last week this time since we have very limited Indian titles coming to streaming platforms this weekend.
Beginning with Prime Video, we have horror drama series ‘Khauf’ launching on the platform this Friday, April 18th. Coming from the makers of ‘Scoop’, ‘Manica, O My Darling’, ’ ‘All India Rank’, ‘Three Of Us’ and most recently ‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack’, the show follows the story of a young woman who becomes entangled in a struggle against unexplained forces inside and outside her hostel room, while confronting her troubled past.
Next up is Zee5 bringing a direct to digital release ‘Logout’ starring Babil Khan tomorrow. This modern cyber thriller is a Hindi original offering from Zee5 in quite a long time and was much needed to bring the platform back on map. There’s also Malayalam film ‘Daveed’ coming to Zee5 after its theatrical run this Friday.
Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh starrer ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ is set for its OTT debut on Jio Hotstar tomorrow on April 18th. The film had a very poor box office run and not much is expected on its digital premiere as well.
Surprisingly there is no Indian title from Netflix this Friday but it does offer Dutch crime thriller ‘iHostage’, and documentary drama ‘Oklahoma City Bombing’.
So yes it’s a pretty dull week for Indian titles on OTT this Friday. What will you be watching?
