We’re in the last few days of June, and just like the latter half of every month, there are a ton of Indian movies gearing up to stream on various OTT platforms.
Every major platform – homegrown or global – has several buzzy Indian movies premiering in the next ten days. ZEE5, Disney Plus Hotstar, and Netflix have captured the cream of titles, with Prime Video India and Aha Video following close behind.
The films comprise diverse languages and genres – Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films to action, drama, horror and comedy. There’s also a hotly awaited Bollywood biggie that will premiere on OTT this Friday.
Without much ado, let’s get down to listing out all the movies releasing on Indian OTT in the next ten days –
1. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan – 23rd June, Hindi, ZEE5
A comedy drama that centres on an older brother who is against marriage, and his three younger brothers who can’t marry until the older brother does. Directed by Farhad Samji, starring Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, Bhumika Chawla, Raghav Juyal, Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam, Shehnaaz Gill, Tanikella Bharani and Jagapathi Babu
2. Kazhuvethi Moorkkan – 23rd June, Tamil, Prime Video
Kazhuvethi Moorkkan is a Tamil-language political and rural drama film, written and directed by Sy Gowthama Raj. The film stars Arulnithi, Dushara, Santhosh Prathap and Munishkanth.
3. Theera Kaadhal – 23rd June, Tamil, Netflix
Theera Kaadhal centres on two ex-lovers, now married to other people. The two meet unexpectedly, setting off a chain of dark events. Directed by Rohin Venkatesan, starring Jai, Aishwarya Rajesh and Sshivada.
4. Tiku Weds Sheru – 23rd June, Hindi, Prime Video
Tiku Weds Sheru is a comedy drama that centres on a small time actor who wants to make it big in films, who joins forces with a young girl with the same starry-eyed dream. Directed by Sai Kabir, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Avneet Kaur.
5. Thrishanku – 23rd June, Malayalam, Netflix
Thrishanku is a comedy drama, revolving around a small town couple who plan to elope. Complications arise when the boy’s sister also elopes with her partner on the same day as them, bringing his quarrelling uncles into the picture. Directed by Achyuth Vinayak, starring Anna Ben, Arjun Ashokan, Suresh Krishna, Nandu, Krishna Kumar, among others.
6. Kasethan Kadavulada – 23rd June, Tamil, SunNXT
Kasethan Kadavulada is a heist comedy, centering on a young man, his cousin and a friend who decide to steal money from his stingy stepmother. Director by Kannan, starring Shiva, Priya Anand, and Yogi Babu.
7. Aseq – 23rd June, Hindi, Jio Cinema
Aseq is a horror film in which a couple moves into an ancient house, only to start experiencing strange supernatural events. Directed by Sarim Momin, starring Sonnalli Seygall, Vardhan Puri, Siddhant Kapoor, Adi Chugh.
8. Ponniyin Selvan 2 Hindi version – 23rd June, Hindi, Prime Video
The Hindi dubbed version of the celebrated Tamil historical period drama. Directed by Mani Ratnam. Starring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Jayaram, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi
9. Intinti Ramayanam – 23rd June, Telugu, Aha Video
Intinti Ramayanam centres on a simple, good-hearted man who lives a contented life with his family. His life turns on its head when a valuable thing goes missing from home, leading to conflict among the family members. Directed by Suresh Naredla, starring Naresh Vijaya Krishna, Rahul Ramakrishna, Navya Swamy, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Gangavva.
10. Malli Pelli – 23rd June, Telugu, Aha Video and Prime Video
Malli Pelli is a romantic drama revolving around a top much-married Telugu actor who falls in love with a married actress. Directed by M.S. Raju. Starring Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh, Jayasudha, Sarathbabu.
11. Lakadbaggha – 30th June, Hindi, ZEE5
Lakadbaggha is an animal vigilante film that centres on a martial arts trainer who single-handedly takes on an illegal animal trade operation in Kolkata to save the endangered Lakaddbagha. Directed by Victor Mukherjee, starring Anshuman Jha, Ridhi Dogra, Milind Soman and Paresh Pahuja.
12. Afwaah – 30th June, Hindi, Netflix
Afwaah is a mystery thriller, centred on an advertising professional and a political heiress whose lives are upended by a viral social media rumour. Produced by Anubhav Sinha, written and directed by Sudhir Mishra, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhumi Pednekar, Sumeet Vyas and Sharib Hashmi.
13. Sergeant – 30th June, Hindi, Jio Cinema
Sergeant centres on an unsolvable case that is reopened when a diligent officer steps in. Directed by Prawaal Raman, starring Randeep Hooda, Adil Hussain, Arun Govil and Sapna Pabbi.
