Gal Gadot has appeared in three films this year and had cameo appearances in all of them. Her first full-fledged role of 2023 will be seen in Netflix’s upcoming spy action thriller, Heart of Stone, scheduled to release on the streaming platform on August 11. Apart from Gadot, the film stars Jamie Dornan, Alia Bhatt, Sophie Okonedo, and many more acting talents. She also had a cameo role in Andy Muschietti’s The Flash. Her appearance in the film has made many fans wonder about her future as Wonder Woman in DC.
Warner Bros pulled the plug on Wonder Woman 3 last year. This news surfaced after James Gunn and Peter Safran were appointed co-CEOs and co-chairs at DC Studio.
Many fans believe they witnessed the last of Gadot’s Wonder Woman in The Flash. However, it seems like the actress is not done with the character yet.
In a recent interview with ET, the actress was asked about her future as Wonder Woman in the DC Universe. This is what she replied:
“Things are being worked behind the scenes,” she said, “and once the right moment arrives, you’ll know about it.”
It seems like the actress may return in future DC instalments as the superhero character. Although, it will be interesting to see how she makes her return. Barry Allen and his variant from another timeline have already messed up the DCEU’s timeline, and their actions may have laid the foundation for Gunn and Safran’s DCU. Will we see the original version of Wonder Woman? Or will we witness Gadot portraying a different version of the character from another timeline? Only time will tell us.
