The makers of the much-anticipated sequel to the 2019 multi-starrer whodunnit ‘Knives Out’ must be a busy bunch of people. Last week, it was reported that ‘Outer Banks’ actress Madelyn Cline has joined the star-studded cast of ‘Knives Out 2’.
Into the bargain, as per a recent report via Deadline, the latest addition to the ‘Knives Out’ sequel is the pretty and promising star Jessica Henwick.
British Chinese actress Jessica Henwick is known for her role in HBO’s fantasy drama television show ‘Game of Thrones’. She also made an appearance in J. J. Abrams’ ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ besides acting in Netflix’s ‘Iron Fist’ and more recently in ‘Love and Monsters’.
She is also a part of the fourth Matrix film starring Keanu Reeves and directed by Lana Wachowski. Currently, she is busy with another big-ticket Russo brothers’ project ‘The Gray Man’ starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Indian actor Dhanush.
Jessica Henwick is the newest member of the ‘Knives Out’ sequel’s truly ensemble cast including Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Janelle Monae, Leslie Odom Jr., and Madelyn Cline.
The actress has been cast in an undisclosed role. The mystery being an integral part of any murder-mystery film, the plotline and other details of ‘Knives Out 2’ is naturally being kept under the wraps. Daniel Craig will reprise his role as master detective Benoit Blanc.
‘Knives Out 2’ will be written and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Rian Johnson, who had also helmed the original 2019 film. Rian Johnson has previously directed the sci-fi action flick ‘Looper’ in addition to some episodes of the cult crime show ‘Breaking Bad’.
‘Knives Out 2’ is not the only sequel that is in the works as Netflix has reportedly secured rights for the third ‘Knives Out’ film that will feature Daniel Craig and will be helmed by Rian Johnson. Stay tuned to Binged for the latest updates regarding ‘Knives Out 2’.
