Game of Thrones : When Is the Epic Spin off From the Fantasy World Returning?

Game of thrones (2011 – 2019) was the biggest show worldwide that hit a cultural wave is coming back with a new instalment. First reported the spin off led by Jane Goldman starring Naomi Watts has been shut. Recently reported by HBO that they have green lit another spin off. Game Of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss have decided to stay on as executive producers.

This one will be focusing and telling the story of the ‘House of Targaryens’ . Latest reported, the new series will land in late 2021 to 2022. There are no details as to the cast members. However, Ryan Condal (Rampage, Colony) is co show running with Miguel Sapochnik who directed several episodes for the original show.

The story is set to revolve 300 years before the events of ‘Game Of Thrones’ and related to the book ‘Fire and Blood’. It tells the origin story of Targaryens and the rule of ‘Aegon’ and his conquests and how he became the first ruler of the 7 kingdoms. There are other potential spin offs but HBO confirmed ‘House of Targaryens’ to be first priority.
