Hotshot filmmaker Jon Watts is reportedly set to direct two Hollywood veterans George Clooney and Brad Pitt in a thriller film that he will also write and produce (via The Hollywood Reporter). Jon Watts is globally known for directing Tom Holland’s blockbuster spiderman movies namely ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’. While Jon Watt’s third spider-man film ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is slated to release this December.
The teaming up of these three big names: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Jon Watts has naturally got some of the biggest Hollywood studios and streamers like Sony, Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Lionsgate, Annapurna, Universal, Warner Bros., and MGM competing for the premium film project.
Although there are currently no details about the film’s precise plot and title, it is just known that story will revolve around two lone wolf fixers who have been assigned to perform the same job. These two lead characters will apparently be essayed by George Clooney and Brad Pitt, who will also produce the film through their production banners Smokehouse Pictures and Plan B Entertainment, respectively.
The yet-untitled Jon Watts’ film would be the sixth acting collaboration for the two top-grade Hollywood actors George Clooney and Brad Pitt as they have previously shared screen space in ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ along with its two sequels besides also starring in ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind’ and ‘Burn After Reading’.
Brad Pitt’s forthcoming acting projects include the assassin-based action movie ‘Bullet Train’ and a jungle adventure film titled ‘The Lost City of D’. While George Clooney will next be seen in a romantic comedy titled ‘Ticket to Paradise’ co-starring Julia Roberts. Filmmaker Jon Watts’ next directorial film is slated to be another Marvel film ‘Fantastic Four’.
