The Netflix release of the television adaptation of Richard Gadd’s acclaimed stage play “Baby Reindeer” is scheduled for April 11, 2024. Drawing from Gadd’s personal encounter with a stalker, he will be returning to portray himself in the adaptation.
This upcoming Netflix Original drama series is adapted from the stage play penned by Scottish comedian Richard Gadd. Directed by Weronika Tofilska and Josephine Bornebusch, the production studio Clerkenwell Films is bringing the series to life, with Matthew Mulot and Francesca Moody serving as producers.
Richard Gadd will reprise his role as himself, just as he did in the stage adaptation of his play with the same title. Although the Scottish comedian hasn’t appeared in any previous Netflix projects, he did contribute to an episode of Sex Education.
Jessica Gunning takes on the role of Martha. Similarly, Jessica hasn’t been featured in a Netflix project before. Her previous credits include the 2014 film Pride, as well as roles in British miniseries such as What Remains and White Heat.
Danny Kirrane portrays Gino. Fans of Netflix’s The Sandman will recognise Danny from his role as Fun Land. He has previously appeared in television shows like The Serpent and films such as Pirates of the Caribbean 5.
Nava Mau assumes the role of Teri. This marks the actress’s debut in a Netflix series. She previously appeared primarily in short films and the HBO television series Generation.
