Get Ready To Sink Your Teeth Into Netflix’s Latest Horror Comedy!!

Netflix is getting ready to release it’s latest horror comedy venture, VAMPIRES VS. THE BRONX. The film has been likened to John Boyega’s ATTACK THE BLOCK but with vampires, instead of aliens.

Directed by Saturday Night Live alumnus Oz Rodriguez, the film focuses on a group of friends trying to defend their block against the dangerous creatures of the night – a coven of vampires. Rodriguez created the film for a few personal reasons. As he was growing up, adventure films featured kids who didn’t look like him. On moving to New York and experiencing the multi-culturalism inspired him to create a different kind of an adventure story, a story featuring kids from marginalized communities.

And true to his gut, Oz has assembled a diverse lineup of Jaden Michael, Gerald W. Jones III, Gregory Diaz IV, Sarah Gadon, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Shea Whigham, Coco Jones, Joel “The Kid Mero” Martinez, Chris Redd, Vladimir Caamaño, Jeremie Harris, Adam David Thompson, Judy Marte, Richard Bekins, and Zoe Saldaña to play major roles in his movie. George Diaz IV plays a horror loving skateboarding nerd Luis, who has deep knowledge about vampires while he friend Bobby (portrayed by Gerald W. Jones III) is a regular kid from the Bronx. Rounding of the trio is Miguel played by Jaden Michel, who is a confident leader.

Oz Rodriguez and Blaise Hemingway penned the script for the film. The movie is set to release on Netflix on October 2nd.
