Will the ‘Breaking Bad’ fame Giancarlo Esposito appear in one of the future DCU projects? Well, DC Studios has not yet revealed anything about this scenario. However, the actor has confirmed having talks with the studio’s head honcho, James Gunn, about his future in the DCU.
Fans want Esposito to star in a superhero project. And in this scenario, they want him to have a full-fledged role in a superhero project, not a small role like Stan Edgar in Prime Video’s The Boys.
Rumors about Esposito playing Mister Freeze, Professor X, and Magneto have surfaced before. But no official confirmation came from the actor or the representatives from both DC and Marvel. Now, it seems like the actor has a future with James Gunn’s DCU.
Esposito confirmed having talks with Gunn during a recent convention appearance, “I had been talking to James Gunn about the possibility of being in a movie, so who knows, it could happen soon.”
Giancarlo Esposito cannot have further talks with James Gunn now due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. But many have speculated that the former could star in Gunn’s ‘Superman: Legacy’ to play Lex Luthor. It will be interesting to see which role Esposito accepts at DCU. Stay tuned for more updates.
Few days ago I was at an event in my country, and I got to see and meet Giancarlo. He answered lots of questions 👀 This one I recorded left me surprised (someone asked if he had a chance to appear in DC films) #dccomics #jamesgunn pic.twitter.com/GPH5ET3QrS
