Scottish actress and filmmaker Karen Gillan is most renowned for her recurring performance as the cyborg Nebula in multiple features of the Marvel Cinematic Universe; especially the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
Next up for her is ‘Let’s Have Kids!’, a newly announced comedy venture from MRC Film, a leading independent entertainment studio. Having been cast in a lead role, she will be seen opposite Zoë Chao, whose upcoming projects include ‘Nightbitch’, the highly anticipated film adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel of the same name.
Marking the directorial debut of the ‘Black Adam’ and ‘Due Date’ screenwriter Adam Sztykiel, the movie’s ensemble also includes Sam Richardson, Max Greenfield, K.J. Apa, Ed Begley Jr, and Oscar-winner Mary Steenburgen.
The film narrates the story of best friends Emma and Phoebe, as they decide to have their first babies at the same time. The reason: so they can navigate the unknowns of motherhood together. However, they soon find their friendship being tested when only one of them gets pregnant.
