Binged has said time and again that the usage of the names Bhola and Shankar in the latest Netflix India series IC-814 is not wrong, as they were the actual code names of the involved terrorists. They should have added the real names just for clarity but it is not a crime that they didn’t.
However, a God Complex seems to be hitting Anubhav Sinha. A journalist asked a question to him, and he straight up denied answering it when the Journalist did not say, “Yes, I have watched your series.”
How pathetic is the fact that the flag bearers of democracy and free speech are so intolerant to questions?
If the series of Anubhav Sinha is in the public domain, then he is ANSWERABLE to the posed questions, and there should never be a doubt about that.
Firstly we saw this God Complex in Siddharth Anand when he blamed the audiences for Fighter. Even Salman Khan made a similar statement years back for Tubelight. Recently, Mudassar Aziz also stated the same after the failure of Khel Khel Mein.
We do realize that the Audience is not hyper-educated and intellectual. But that doesn’t make Anubhav Sinha less answerable towards them.
If he is so arrogant to answer questions related to his series then he better not appear in Press Conferences at all.
IC-814 may earn views, and Anubhav Sinha may be the George Clooney of India, but this is not done. This doesn’t stand up to the reputation of his education at AMU.
