The 2024 monster-verse thriller ‘Godzilla×Kong: The New Empire’ is going to be available to watch on OTT soon. The movie will be available on Max from the 4th of July and it will stream on Netflix India from the 5th of July.
The Warner Bros. film is directed by Adam Wingard and is a direct sequel to the 2021 film ‘Godzilla VS Kong’ which set the two monsters for a fight against each other. ‘Godzilla×Kong: The New Empire’, however, has the two of them coming together to fight a third monster. Kong meets more ‘people’ from his own species and is compelled to help Godzilla in the fight against Skar King and the frost-breathing Shimo, who want to take over the Earth surface.
The movie stars actors like Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, Fala Chen and more. Most of them return from previous movies of the franchise. ‘Godzilla×Kong’ is the fifth film of the Monsterverse and also the 38th film of the Godzilla series.
The screenplay was written by Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett, Jeremy Slater and it was a story that was liked by many and was even criticised by many as well. If you missed out the movie on theaters, you can watch it on OTT now when it comes out on Netflix on the 5th of July.
