Steven Spielberg’s acclaimed film ‘The Fabelmans’ is all set to release in Indian theatres, much to the delight of film enthusiasts in India. The film comes to India on 10th February, courtesy Reliance Entertainment. Incidentally, Reliance Entertainment is the co-producer of ‘The Fabelmans’, along with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment.
‘The Fabelmans’ has enamoured viewers across the world, receiving rave reviews from audiences, critics and industry folk alike. The film won the coveted Best Motion Picture – Drama Award and Best Director Award for Steven Spielberg at the just-concluded Golden Globe Awards. ‘The Fabelmans’ also won the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival.
‘The Fabelmans’ released in theatres in the US back in November and only now it is coming to Indian theatres, a full three months after its US release. ‘The Fabelmans’ is a semi-autobiographical story, based on Steven Spielberg’s own adolescence and first years as a filmmaker. It centres on the fictional character of young Sammy Fabelman, who falls in love with movies after his parents take him to see “The Greatest Show on Earth.” Armed with a camera, Sammy starts to make his own films at home, much to the delight of his supportive mother. The story also shows how the power of films can helps Sammy see the truth about his dysfunctional family and those around him.
‘The Fabelmans’ stars Gabriel LaBelle as Sammy, alongside Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, and Judd Hirsch in supporting roles. Do make it a point to catch the film in theatres when it releases in India on February 10.
