We all know that Good Luck Jerry starring Jahnvi Kapoor has been released on Disney+Hotstar. Needless to say, the huge subscriber base of Disney+Hotstar is helming the film to garner great views and it has been trending since then.
The reviews came out to be mixed and those who haven’t watched Nayanthara’s original Kolamaavu Kokila might even enjoy the film to the fullest and are doing so.
But we want to draw your attention to something else.
As expected, RRR is trending but low on Hotstar. A lot of people have already watched the film in the theatres or on Zee5 so since the film came so late on the streaming giant, it failed to draw great attention from the audience.
This is the data from the trending section of Hotstar. On Number 12, the Malayalam version of the film is trending the most followed by Tamil on number 13 then Telugu and Kannada versions on number 17 and 18 respectively.
But if we see Netflix’s trending section then we find something interesting.
RRR (Hindi) is trending in the 8th position while the other languages have slowed down.
But there is a catch…
The trending section unlike Netflix contains both series and movies. While Netflix contains only movies.
Thus on Hotstar, RRR (Malayalam) is in the 6th position only.
So, yes as we predicted, RRR is gaining good buzz even after so many months. The credit goes to the insanely huge subscriber base of Hotstar.
