Not one, but two mainstream Telugu mid-range films are gearing up for OTT premieres in the next 10 days. Namely, Good Luck Sakhi, and Bangarraju are up for OTT release now. Interestingly enough, Keerthy Suresh‘s Good Luck Sakhi which hit the theatres on the 28th of January is already heading for OTT premieres.
The Keerthy Suresh starrer will be made available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from the 12th of January. The same was confirmed a short while ago. If the film is premiering on OTT just 2 weeks post its theatrical release, then what is the point in releasing it in theatres in the first place? The film disappeared without a trace at the box office and that could be the reason behind the early OTT release plan.
Then comes Bangarraju, which hit the silver screens on the 14th of January, marking the occasion of Sankranthi. After a strong start at the box office, which was largely due to the Sankranthi season release, the film lost momentum in the subsequent weeks and it ended up as an average grosser.
The Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya starrer is gearing up for OTT premieres now. ZEE5 has announced that Bangarraju will be available for streaming on the platform from the 18th of this month. Bangarraju is the sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana. The family drama bagged mixed-to-poor reviews following its theatrical release.
