GoT’s D. B. Weiss & David Benioff All Set For Their First Netflix Film ‘Metal Lords’!

‘Game of Thrones’ creators D. B. Weiss and David Benioff are all set for their first film ‘Metal Lords’ coming to Netflix as part of their overall deal to write, produce and direct new series and films for the global streaming giant.

‘Metal Lords’ has been written by D. B. Weiss, who also serve as its producer along with Greg Shapiro. Peter Sollett (‘Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist’) is the director for the Netflix film.

The official logline for ‘Metal Lords’ that will come out globally on Netflix later this year reads, “Two kids want to start a heavy metal band in a high school where exactly two kids care about heavy metal.”

The cast for the high school drama includes Jaeden Martell (‘Knives Out’, ‘It’), Isis Hainsworth (‘Misbehaviour’, ‘Emma’) and making his feature début Adrian Greensmith, who is currently studying at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

David Benioff, Bernie Caulfield, Robin Fisichella are the executive producers for Netflix’s ‘Metal Lords, while Tom Morello serves as the executive music producer. Netflix is yet to reveal the release date for ‘Metal Lords’.
