Netflix has finally revealed the release date for its much-awaited limited series ‘Florida Man’. The crime drama series will arrive on Netflix worldwide on 13th April, 2023. And no, it has nothing to do with the wacky ‘Florida Man’ meme that is so popular on the internet.
‘Florida Man‘ centres on a down and out former cop with a gambling problem and huge debt, who is forced into a shady mission for a crime lord in Florida. But once he gets in on the mission, it turns into a wildly spiralling journey into buried family secrets, and an increasingly futile attempt to do the right thing in a place where so much is wrong.
Edgar Ramirez stars in the lead role of the ex-cop. ‘Florida Man’ features Anthony LaPaglia, Abbey Lee, Otmara Marrero, Lex Scott Davis, Emory Cohen, Clark Gregg, Isaiah Johnson, Paul Schneider, and Lauren Buglioli in pivotal roles. ‘Florida Man’ is created by Donald Todd (This Is Us), who is also the show runner for the series.
The official Netflix synopsis for ‘Florida Man’ reads, “A disgraced cop in debt is forced to return to his home state of Florida for a shady mission only to get swept up in a wild — and deadly — treasure hunt”.
