The makers have dropped the teaser of Santhanam’s upcoming comedy-drama, Gulu Gulu. Written and directed by Rathna Kumar, this one promises to emerge as a windy entertaining ride for the viewers. Apart from the leading man, the film has Athulya Chandra, Namitha Krishnamurthy, Pradeep Rawat, Mariyam George, Sai Dheena, and many more performers in its cast.
Gulu Gulu tells the story of a group of friends. Everything seems fine until one of them gets abducted by some criminals. The rest seek help from Gulu Gulu aka Google (Santhanam) to save their friend. But here’s the twist. No one knows where the protagonist lives. Plus, he can speak 13 different languages and has travelled across various countries. Yet, he speaks broken English. Thanks to his mother!
But the thing that separates Gulu Gulu from the rest is his insane knowledge about almost every damn thing in the world. He can give a clear-cut explanation about anything. That’s why people like to call him Google, which later gets transformed into Gulu Gulu.
Rathna Kumar’s last directional project, Aadai, did not perform well at the box office despite earning favourable reviews. He must be looking to get back on track with his upcoming directional. Also, he is well-known for writing the dialogues of Vijay’s Master and Kamal Haasan’s latest blockbuster, Vikram.
S Raj Narayanan has bankrolled Gulu Gulu under the banner of CircleBox Entertainment. Additionally, it is a Santhosh Narayanan musical. In addition to this one, Santhanam will also star in Agent Kannayiram, scheduled to release this year, with Manoj Beedha at the helm. The film is the Telugu remake of Naveen Polishetty’s Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya. Stay tuned for more updates.
