As the current CEO of DC talks about the future of an MCU series, it was destined to make headlines as Gunn, keeping his habit of being true to his passion, talks about what we can expect from the Guardians Of The Galaxy franchise in the future.
Gunn was previously associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and practically did a great job as he made a group of ‘nobodies’ into some of the most beloved characters of the MCU.
And with the latest installment of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, Gunn sought departure and is now on the Detective Comics side of things.
Gunn also made it very clear that as he jumped ships, he would have no intention of coming back to the Director’s chair for the upcoming installments.
But he showed that there is no animosity between them as Gunn knows that Marvel will take care of his ‘baby.’
“Kevin and I are on great terms,” Gunn said in response to a fan on Threads. “Although a few characters aren’t coming back, I’d love for GotG to continue with the current members and I’d trust Kevin to pick the right person for that.”
Dave Bautista’s Drax and Zoe Saldana’s Gamora likely won’t return to the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, as both actors have indicated they’re moving on. Saldana also explained that concluding Gamora’s story in the last chapter felt right, providing closure and solace with the Ravagers after enduring trauma with Thanos.
So, as Guardians will definitely seek some major changes, you can stream their third installment meanwhile. It’s currently streaming on Disney+, and to get such updates, tune into Binged.
