Talk of Tollywood is here! Mahesh Babu starrer Guntur Kaaram, one of the trending movies currently, will soon be on OTTs. This action movie hit theaters on January 12, 2024 as a treat for Sankranti, targeting family audiences. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by S. Radha Krishna under the Haarika and Hassinee Creations banner, Guntur Kaaram received mixed opinions from premiere shows initially.
Sources suggest that the film is likely to premiere on Netflix approximately 28 days after the theatrical release. Tentative release is said to be on February 9, 2024 and most probably, the film will be streamed around the second week of February, with high chances of being dubbed to Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
This is according to an existing trend in Telugu cinema, where producers observe a 4-week window before streaming the film on OTT platforms. ‘Guntur Kaaram’ has a stellar cast, including Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ramya Krishna, Jayaram, Prakash Raj and Jagapathi Babu. Music director S Thaman composed the musical score for Guntur Kaaram.
The film is about the protagonist working with a journalist to expose illegal activities happening in the city. Guntur Kaaram was, at first, scheduled to be released worldwide on 13 January 2024, but was advanced a day earlier to coincide with Sankranti. Netflix acquired the digital distribution rights and Gemini TC bought the satellite rights for this film. The official release date of Guntur Kaaram is not yet out but it is surely going to spice your Netflix watchlist.
