H Vinoth, who had previously delivered blockbuster action thriller ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ with Ajith Kumar is now awaiting the release of Valimai, which happens to be one of the most anticipated films in Tamil cinema. As the film gears up for its theatrical release, Vinoth interacted with Tamil media and dropped huge updates on Valimai and as well as Thala 61.
“Valimai is a film made with the requirements of Ajith sir’s fans in mind. The film will have multiple fan moments. It will be a blend of action elements and family drama, which I believe will bring the film commercial appeal. When Jayalalithaa ma’am was the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, a bike racer was made an SI. We have taken inspiration from this story and etched the basic plotline of Valimai. The film is based on the life story of an ex-bike racer who goes on to become a cop,” Vinoth said.
Vinoth confirms that Valimai’s trailer will be unveiled in the next few days and an official announcement will be made shortly. He adds that a couple of songs from the film’s album will be out on the very same day as the film’s release, which is a first-of-its-kind move in Tamil cinema.
About the much anticipated Thala 61 which will be Ajith’s immediate next project after Valimai, Vinoth affirms that he will be helming this project as well. “The pre production will commence once I am done with Valimai. This project will be hitting the floors in the early quarter of 2022.”
Vinoth has now promised a mass feast to Ajith’s fans and they couldn’t have asked for more. Valimai is slated for theatrical release during Pongal 2022. Boey Kapoor is producing the film.
